“PULSATION” FOR EARTH DAY

Regarding to April 22nd, Earth Day in green space of settlement of Ledena Stena of Palilula Municipality, which is located between elementary schools “Bubanjski heroji” and Special school “Bubanj” was held the children cross named “Pulsation 2011”. In running, on the playground and space of cleaned park, competed about 200 children, preschoolers from the kindergarten “Bajka”, students in low grades of elementary schools located on the territory of Palilula Municipality and members of Children Academy of Sport.
In category of preschoolers first place went to Nemanja Milojevic, second to Momcilo Mitrovic, and third to Dorotey Damjanac, all from kindergarten “Bajka”. In category of first grades, golden medal won Emilija Banduka, silver Milos Vojinovic and bronze Dusan Gigic, students of elementary school “Bubanjski heroji”. Nemanja Mitic was the most successful in category of students of second grades, second and silver medal won Veljko Stankovic a third was Lazar Stankovic, students of elementary school “Branko Miljkovic”. In category of third grades first was Luka Stefanovic from school “Bubanjski heroji”, second Dusan Stojanovic from school “Branko Miljkovic” and third Milan Zivic from school “Bubanjski heroji”. From the students from forth grade first was Mario Macesic from elementary school “Kralj Petar Prvi”, second Andrija Petkovic from school “Branko Miljkovic” and third was Dalibor Stamenkoivc from school “Kralj Petar Prvi”.
To the most successful competitors greeting sent, in the name of patronage City Municipality of Palilula, Milan Djurdjevic, president of Assembly of Municipality, and medals and certifications to the competitors handed Svetlana Petrovic, President of Association “Puls”.
Cross conquest is part of the project of Association “Puls” which is within campaign “SAVE THE FOREST – LUNGS OF LEDENA STENA”, gathered numerous organization of civil society, media EKOpolis Network, volunteers and utility enterprises of the city. Action of cleaning of this green space, located between two schools and it is on the edge of the Memorial Park “Bubanj” took part several weeks during March and April. “After 20 years was held cross on this place which was until recently landfill. Our plan is that this activity become tradition of gathering of young people. We expect that after additional action of cleaning of park two more track will be in use for recreational activities, one is circular from 400 meters and other running track from 800 meters, to make possible that on cross participate and students and older grades of elementary schools. We hope that we will get support from the city and relevant institutions that this space turn into park – highlights Svetlana Petrovic. Children cross and celebration of Earth Day was held under patronage of City Municipality of Palilula in cooperation and support of consortium of organization of civil society, media EKOpolis Network and Office for Youth of Palilula.
